Victory: Jury Acquits Man Charged with Second-Degree Murder

In 2015, University of Colorado Boulder student Ian Scheuermann, now 23, was charged with second-degree murder after he got into a brawl with fellow student Sean Hudson and stabbed him six times, resulting in Hudson's death.

Scheuermann argued self-defense, saying that Hudson and his friends were looking to start a fight. Ian is quoted as saying he was "trying not to get beat to death."

On October 21, 2016, the jury acquitted Scheuermann of second-degree murder, first-degree assault, felony menacing, reckless manslaughter, and criminally negligent homicide.
